Timothy Joseph "TJ" Deason

Timothy Joseph “TJ” Deason, 43, was a loving son, fiancé, brother, uncle, and friend. He passed away the morning of June 5, 2022, after a well fought battle with colon cancer.

He was preceded in death by the love of his life and fiancé, Melanie Yvette Williams; mother, Kathryn Woods Deason; and father, John “Henry” Deason.

He is survived by his brother and sister-in-law, John Deason (Kimberly) of Statesboro; two nieces, Courtney Capps (Casey) of Brooklet and Amber Deal (Noah) of Brooklet; nephew, Chase Deason; two great nephews, Oliver Capps and Knox Deal; and many loving friends.

TJ loved being with family and friends, hunting, enjoying time at the fox pen, and participating in puppy hunts. He was a long-time employee of Gulfstream Aerospace.

Visitation will be held at Carlson & Riggs Funeral Home on Monday, June 6, 2022, from 5:00pm to 7:00pm. A funeral service will be held at Carlson & Riggs Funeral Home on Tuesday, June 7, 2022, at 1:00pm with interment to follow at Springfield Cemetery Annex.

Pallbearers will be Philip Deason, David Deason, Richard Snellings, Benji Steed, Adam McDaniel, and Tim McIlrath.
