Ruth Elizabeth "Libby" O'Steen Weaver

January 24, 1961 — March 11, 2023

Clyo

Ruth Elizabeth "Libby" O'Steen Weaver, beloved wife of Danny Gene Weaver Jr. both of Clyo, was called to her enteral home on Saturday, March 11, 2023, surrounded by her family.

Born to the late Ernest O'Steen and late Doris Lawrimore Kowalke on January 24, 1961, in Sanford FL, Libby grew up as her Daddy's shadow. Where you saw Mr. O'Steen, you could rest assure Libby was no further away than his shadow could stretch. From an early age to her last earthly days, Libby has been the jokester that could typically make the worst of your days brighter. She had advice for days. And with it came "I'm not telling you to benefit myself, I'm tell you from experience and for your own good".

Libby had knowledge that was endless. From inside the home to out in the work force to the depths of the woods, she could lead you to survival in any direction.

Her most favorite things in life were her grandkids, children, and biggest of all, her husband. She never went a day without expressing how lucky she was to have met Gene and spend 33 years as his wife.

Libby leaves behind great memories, plenty of jokes, and a heart of gold to carry us through the rest of our days in her memory.

To carry on her accomplishments in all she's done are her husband, Gene; son, Michael O'Steen of Clyo; daughter, Tina Ledford South Carolina; and grandchild, Adam O'Steen and Brent O'Steen of Clyo, Austin Ledford and Evan Swails of South Carolina. To carry on memories from childhood are her sisters, Terry Johnson of FL (including her five children) and April Di Stano of FL (including her 2 children); sister in law Paula White -James - (including their three children); and also several great nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family and friends.

Those that she has now reunited with include her parents, son, James O'Steen; father and mother-in-law, Danny Sr. and Estill Weaver; stepmother, Marcee Rollings; niece, Teresa Di Stano; and uncle, David Lawrimore.
