Obituary

John W. Brown, 81, passed away on Thursday, April 20, 2023, in Mobile, Alabama.

John was born on May 7, 1941, in Montgomery, Alabama. He moved to Bloomingdale, GA in 1994, before moving back to Alabama in 2021. He retired as Vice President of Operations of B&B Warehousing and Logistics. John was an avid Auburn fan.

He is predeceased by his loving wife, Barbara C. Brown; parents, John Cyrus Brown and Carolyn Augusta Duncan; and great grandchild, Paxton Moyher.

Survivors include his children, Leslie W. Brown (Lisa), Kelly Brown Slade (Kenneth), Kenneth Lee Brown, Sharon Redding (Carl), Amy Brown, and John Bradford Brown (Dee); grandchildren, Mary Katherine Brown, Madison L. Slade, Matthew D. Slade, Teresa Brown (Matthew Needle), Chris Brown (Hannah), Cassie Escarra (Mike), Kristen Moyher (Alex), William Drew Richardson (Kasey), Caleb Richardson, Carlton Redding, Lauren Weeks (Jason), John Daniel (Cassie), Adam Bryant, Tyler Bryant (Christy), Brandon Bryant, Chad Bailey Brown, and Seth Logan Brown; brother, James R. Brown of Montgomery, AL; sister, Judy O’Gwynn of Mobile, AL; and 22 great grandchildren.

A graveside service will be held at 11:00am on Saturday, April 29, 2023, at Guyton Cemetery.
