Jewell Ruth Ingram

Mrs. Jewell Ruth Ingram, 85, passed away surrounded by her loving family on Sunday, April 30, 2023, at her residence.

Mrs. Jewell was born in Effingham County on September 17, 1937, to the late Graham and Annie Boyles. She was a member of Rincon First Baptist Church and retired for the Effingham County Board of Education after many years of service.

Mrs. Jewell could often be found in the kitchen cooking up a delicious meal for her loving family. She absolutely adored her family and loved spending as much time as she could with them. In her free time, Jewell also enjoyed crocheting and sewing dresses and aprons for friends and family.

To know Mrs. Jewel was to love Mrs. Jewel, she will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Willie Woodrow Ruth, Sr.; husband, Harold Ingram; parents, Graham and Annie Boyles; sons, Willie Woodrow Ruth, Jr., and Ricky Randall Ruth; daughter, Jan Stone; and a number of brothers and sisters.

Survivors include: her loving children, Ronald Eugene Ruth (Kathy) of Guyton, Joyce Lowe (Billy) of Springfield, and Rhonda Murray (Shawn) of Guyton; sister, Dorothy Bazemore (Raymond) of Springfield; and a number of grandchildren, great grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and cousins.

A graveside service will be held at Union Cemetery on Wednesday, May 3, 2023, at 3pm.
