Helen Usher

Mrs. Marjorie Helen Usher, 90, passed away peacefully on Saturday, February 25, 2023, surrounded by her loving and caring family.

Mrs. Helen was a member of Corinth Baptist Church, playing a very active role in the church life for many years. Family meant the world to Mrs. Helen and her greatest joy came through spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Mrs. Helen will forever be remembered as a loving mother, wonderful grandmother and great grandmother, and devoted friend.

She is preceded in death by her husband,  Delma David Usher; parents, George and Nellie Smith; siblings, Leona Deloach, Laura Caffo, and George Edward Smith; step-mom, Alma Oliver; and special aunt, Frances (Auntie) Rider.

She leaves behind her sons, Tim Usher (Kathy) of Springfield, and Al Usher (Angie) of Newington; daughters, Beth Morgan (William) of Springfield, Donna Loper (Danny) of Rincon, and Judy Exley (Kerry) of Springfield; grandchildren, Daniel DiFiore (Sara), Lori Nease (Ben), Liz Carlson (James), Wes Loper (Basia), Lauren Lawson (Brian), Nick Exley (Jennifer), Josh Usher (Taryn), Jessica Nelson (Zach), Amanda Dobbs, and Alayna Usher; 17 great grandchildren; sister, Geri Mallard of Savannah; and many nieces, nephews and extended family members.

Visitation will be held at Corinth Baptist Church on Tuesday, February 28, 2023 from 1 to 2:30pm with a funeral service to follow at 3pm. Interment will be held in the church cemetery.
