Debra "Debbie" Williams

Debra “Debbie” Carol Williams, 64, passed away March 23, 2023, surrounded by her loving family.

Debbie was born on July 6, 1958, in Burderop Park, United Kingdom.  In 1978, Debbie met the love of her life Dennis Williams. They went on to start a family having two children, Jeffery and Ashley. Her children were her world.

Debbie worked and retired from Effingham County Board of Education where she held many roles throughout her career. After retirement in 2019, Debbie spent her time fishing, caring for her family, and serving her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. She was member of Pine Street Baptist Church in Guyton.

She was predeceased by her parents, Willard and Carolyn Morton; nephew, Dylan Smiley; and brother-in-law, Toni Armstrong.

Survivors include her husband, Dennis Williams; son, Jeffery Williams; daughter, Ashley Williams Donaldson; son in law, Mitchell Donaldson; stepdaughter, Amy Edwards; sisters, Terry Armstrong, Elizabeth Cassady, Wanda Rowell (Chris), Cheryl Smiley (Bobby Tice); half-sister, Stephanie Bartch; grandchildren, Walker Donaldson, Elizabeth Donaldson, Kaylen Tanner, Luke Tanner, Jake Tanner; and many nieces and nephews.

A visitation will be held from 1:00pm – 2:00pm Sunday, March 26, 2023 at Carlson & Riggs Funeral Home with a funeral service following at 2:00pm in the chapel of the funeral home.

Interment will follow the service in Guyton Cemetery.
