Deana Shannon Wicks

Deana Shannon Wicks, 44, went to be with the Lord Jesus on Monday, March 6, 2023, at her home in Guyton, Georgia after a long illness.

Deana was born on August 11, 1978, in Hamilton, NY and lived in Waterville, NY and Liverpool, NY for most of her life before moving to Hinesville, GA in 1999. She Graduated from Brewton-Parker College Summa cum laude in Hinesville, GA in 2005 with a bachelor’s degree. Deana started working at Avicolli’s Restaurant and Pizzeria in Liverpool, NY when she was 16 and worked there until moving to Hinesville GA in 1999. She then worked at the Huddle House in Hinesville, Ga while attending college at Brewton-Parker. After college, Deana took time off to raise her family and worked part time at the Olive Garden Restaurant in Maryland. Then returning to Georgia with her family in 2008 she worked at Heritage Bank in Rincon, GA. For the past few years, she did factory work, retail and worked as a private contractor.

Deana loved spending time with her children, family and friends. She loved animals especially her pets. She enjoyed cooking, needlework, sewing, holidays and planning parties. Her skill at decorating, party planning and organizing were exceptional. She had a knack for making her surroundings beautiful and it was always a joy to be around her.

Deana leaves behind 3 children, Hunter, Libby and Raegan; father and mother, Phil and Evelyn; brothers, Dustin and Brandon; nieces and nephews, Brayden, Mckenzie and Madison; and many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

A celebration of her life will be held at a later date.

Interment will be in the family plot in Stockwell Cemetery, Stockwell, NY at a later date.

The family suggests any remembrances be made in her memory to a fund for her children. Any donations may be sent in the children's name to Edward Jones, 1443 Hwy 21 South Unit B, Springfield, GA 31329
