Andrew Bryce Irish

Andrew Bryce Irish, 25, passed away on Saturday, January 15, 2022, in Bulloch County.

Drew was born on December 4, 1996, in Cape Girardeau, MO before moving to Effingham County. He spent a couple of years attending Effingham High before moving to South Effingham High, where he graduated in 2015.

While in school, Drew had many accomplishments playing football, wrestling and being a member of Future Farmers of America. Drew was a 2-time state contender in wrestling, and a state champion in both Floral Design and Floriculture for the FFA. He also earned a State Degree in the FFA. Upon completion of High School, Drew went on to attended at East Georgia College and Georgia Southern University.

He is preceded in death by his maternal grandmother, Sharon Williams, and his paternal grandmother, Rita Irish.

Drew is survived by his mother, Jennifer Ashdown (JR) of Rincon; father, Darrell Irish of Charleston, MO; sister, Ansley Wright of Rincon; Fiancee, Kaylynn Buchen, who is expecting the couple’s first child; bonus father, Todd Olsen and bonus sister, Ashley Olsen both of Brooklet; paternal grandfather, William Irish of Cairo,IL; paternal bonus grandparents, Mark and Vanessa McGarry of Midway; grandparents, James and Carla Ashdown of Ludowici, GA, bonus grandparents, Richard and Linda Olsen of Dillsburg, PA; bonus great grandparents, Ronald and Elaine Tuten of Midway; his fur babies, Junie and Dash; and many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Drew had a huge heart and could light up a room. He will be missed by many.

The family will receive friends from 3-4pm on Saturday, January 22, 2022, at Carlson & Riggs Funeral Home. A service will be held following the visitation at 4pm in the chapel of the funeral home.
