Toxey Alan Overstreet,69, passed away at his residence on Wednesday, June 17, 2020, surrounded by his loved ones.

Toxey was born in Waynesboro, Mississippi on March 23, 1951. He graduated from Wayne County High School in 1970.

Toxey and his wife Regina relocated to Savannah, Georgia in 1990. Toxey was a devoted father and loving husband. He enjoyed writing poems and short stories. He was known for his shining personality, quick wit, sense of humor, and ability to captivate any audience with his stories and humor. Toxey was as unique as his name. He was a person that once met, you would never forget.

He will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who knew him.

Toxey was a member of the Springfield Masonic Lodge. He was also a member of Liberty Christian Fellowship in Guyton, Georgia.

He is survived by his wife of 41 years, Regina Overstreet; three daughters, Micah Ball(Josh), Morgan Kicklighter, and Molly Mongin(Jason); 9 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren; his older brother, Craig Overstreet(Lori); and many nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents, William and Eunice Overstreet and his sister, Gena Johnson.

The family will be planning a Celebration of Toxey’s Life at a later date.
