Timothy Eugene Marxen

Timothy "Tim" Marxen, 69, passed away on Monday the 29th of September at home.

Tim was born on March 1, 1956, in Middletown, Ohio and lived in Guyton, Ga and nearby the area for close to 30 years. He graduated from Lemon - Monroe High School and just went to his 50th year reunion last year. He graduated from Georgia Tech and always rooted for their team!

Tim had his first job as a grillman at McDonald's in Middletown Ohio from 1972 to 1974. From there he had a rich career in engineering and was currently working as Sr. Project Manager at Jedson Engineering Inc. since February of 2007.

Tim was a proud member of the local Savannah HOG Chapter #2689 and loved his 3 Harleys. He was constantly going to the meetings with his last meeting being on the 25th, just 4 days before his untimely passing. He also enjoyed and regularly showed up for their rides and fundraisers.

Tim was preceded in death by his wife, Cathy Marxen (Kiser) of 37 years; and his parents, Orville and Patricia "Patty" Marxen.

He is survived by his daughter, Marla (Randy) Whisnant; grandson, Nicholas Summersell and sisters Elizabeth (Tim Ohlbrecht) Wolfe and Kimberly (Jeffery) Ellis.

The family will receive friends from 3:00 pm until 5:00 pm on Sunday, October 5, 2025, at Carlson & Riggs Funeral Home (1979 Hwy 119 South, Guyton Ga 31312). A celebration of life will tentatively be held on Wednesday, October 8, 2025, at The Original Crabshack (40 Estill Hammock Rd, Tybee Island, Ga) from 6pm to 8pm. A funeral service will be held in Summerville S.C. at a later date where he will be interred.
