Thomas John Welsh

-Rincon- Mr. Thomas J. Welsh, 61, passed away on Sunday, October 20, 2019, at his home after losing his battle with cancer.

Tom was born on March 8, 1958 in Philadelphia, PA and made Georgia his residence since 1978. He was a master carpenter for most of his adult life and then worked happily for Terry Lee Contracting Co., Inc. of Hardeeville, SC for the past several years.

Surviving are his mother and father, Roberta and David Schneider of Rincon; wife, Debi Griffin of Guyton; daughters, Jessica Blake of Guyton, Linsey Radcliffe of Guyton and Anetria Turner of California; sons, Justin Welsh of Eden and Dylan Welsh of Guyton; sisters, Bobbi Writch (Alan) of Clyo, Dawn Brewer (Billy) of Rincon, Debbie Sikes (Toby) of Clyo; brother, Tim Schneider (Missy) of Faulkville; 2 grandchildren, 10 nieces and nephews and 13 great nieces and nephews.

A visitation for family and friends will be held on Wednesday, October 23, 2019, from 5 – 7 PM at Riggs Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held at Riggs Funeral Home on Thursday, October 24, 2019, at 2PM with burial to follow in the Springfield Annex. Pallbearers will be his nephews, Chris Thompson, Zach Writch, Kaleb Writch, David Schneider, Ryan Sikes and Anthony Stewart.
