Thomas "Tommy" Joseph Hernandez, Jr

Thomas "Tommy" Joseph Hernandez Jr, 71, passed away Friday, January 2,2015, at St. Joseph's Hospital. Tommy was born in Savannah, Georgia on January 6, 1943 the only son of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Hernandez Sr and was raised in the Catholic faith. He graduated from Benedictine Military School before joining the U.S. Marine Corps. Tommy was employed by Norfolk Southern where he worked as an inspector and retired after 29 years. Tommy was proceeded in death by his son, Tony Hernandez. He is survived by his beloved wife, friend and care taker, Dianne Wilson Hernandez; children Thomas"Tom"Joseph Hernandez III (Maureen) of Everett, Washington and Teresa Hernandez of Destin, Florida. Also, survived and loved by his step children Jody and Marc Patrick (Mary Ann) and seven grandchildren all of Effingham County.
