Teresa Jackson

Mrs. Teresa Jackson, 63, passed away Tuesday, September 8, 2020, at Memorial Hospital.

Mrs. Teresa was born in Norton, Virginia on April 7, 1957 to Emerson and Margaret Maddox. She was a member of Guyton United Methodist Church and worked for many years as a weight inspector for the Department of Public Safety.

Survivors include: her loving husband, Bobby Jackson; son, Nicholas Wayne Jackson of Guyton; step-son, Wayne Jackson of Savannah; step-daughter, Angela Rochelle Jackson of Guyton; brothers, Michael Maddox of Springfield, and David Maddox of Oklahoma; sisters, Janet Hogg and Joan Corbitt of Springfield; grandchildren, Christian Wayne Jackson and Lacy Nicole Smith; great grandchildren, Alyssa Hunter, Ryan Hunter, Makayla Hunter, Travis Smith, Austin Smith, Zoey Jackson, Christian Wayne Jackson Jr. “Bubba” and Mary Jackson; and a number of nieces, nephews, and cousins.

A visitation for family and friends will be held at Riggs Funeral Home on Thursday, September 10, 2020 from 5 – 7pm. A funeral service will be held at Riggs Funeral Home on Friday, September 11, 2020 at 10AM with burial to follow in the Springfield Annex Cemetery.
