Stefan Andrew Fedyschyn

Stefan A. Fedyschyn, of Guyton, GA, passed away on 21 July after a long battle with cancer. He was 71.

He was born in New Brunswick, NJ in 1955 and was the son of Roman and Marianne Fedyschyn. He graduated from the United States Naval Academy in 1978, earned a Masters degree in Electrical Engineering and then completed his Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering at Lehigh University, where his research focused on parallel computing and advanced computer engineering.

After graduating from the United States Naval Academy, he served as a United States Marine, embodying the values of honor, courage, and commitment that would define the rest of his life.

His passion for developing others brought him back to his alma mater, where he taught at the United States Naval Academy, helping educate and mentor future officers and leaders.

His intellect, curiosity, and dedication to innovation led him to a distinguished career with the FBI as a Computer Engineer, applying his expertise to support critical national security and law enforcement missions.

Stefan has always been a man of humility, integrity, wisdom, and unwavering patriotism. He never sought the spotlight, but his character naturally earned the respect of those around him. Whether sharing stories, offering thoughtful advice, or enjoying a round of golf with friends, Stefan made every interaction meaningful.

Stefan is survived by his two brothers, Gary and Chris, and his sister Lisa, as well as six nieces and nephews.
