Sheila Elaine Barnett

Sheila Elaine Barnett, 65, passed away Wednesday, September 13, 2023, at Candler Hospital in Savannah, Georgia.

Sheila was born in Savannah on January 7, 1958, and lived in Effingham County for a number of years. A graduate of Windsor Forrest High School, she loved going to school and playing softball. In her free time, she enjoyed shopping and above all spending time with her loving family. Sheila was a caring and loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend to many. She will be remembered as a loving, kindhearted woman who will be missed deeply by all who knew and loved her.

She is preceded in death by her father, Joseph Rucker; mother, Janie Altman; daughter, Shelley Miranda Williamson; sister, Christine Michelle Hale; grandchildren, Shaelyn, Jocelyn, and Bliss; and brothers-in-law, Frank Walker and Albert Caswell Barnett, Jr.

Sheila leaves behind her loving husband of 23 years, Bobby Barnett; sons, David Lawton Williamson (Kimberly) of Port Wentworth, Joseph Robert Williamson of Flemming, GA, and Ryan Gregory Williamson of Flemming, GA; daughters, Brigett Gail Barnett of Allenhurst, GA, Michelle Danielle Williamson of Port Wentworth, and Christen Danielle Killebrew (Elliott) of Austin, TX; brothers, Lloyd Bernard Brown (Beverly Bowley Lynn)  of Rincon and Joseph David Rucker of Savannah; sister, Carla Walker of Pooler; and grandchildren, Hannah, Katelyn, London, Jaden, Landon, Madison, Gracie, Aubrey., Tyler, Matthew, Savannah, Brian, Elliott, and Tommy.

A celebration of life will be held at Carlson and Riggs Funeral Home on Saturday, September 16, 2023, at 3pm.
