Ruth Elizabeth Seckinger

Ruth Elizabeth Ambrose Seckinger, 91, of Rincon, Georgia and widow of Charles Edgar Seckinger, died on Tuesday morning November 3, 2026, at her home with her family at her side.

She was born on June 7, 1935, in Clyo, Georgia to the late Laurie Ambrose and the late Carrie Graham Ambrose. Ruth worked at Cracker Barrel for over 30 years. She enjoyed sewing, cooking, going to apple orchids and fishing. She was very enthusiastic about going to thrift stores. But Ruth’s greatest joy was spending time with her family and grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Edgar Seckinger; her father, Laurie Ambrose; her mother, Carrie Graham Ambrose; son, Laurie Edgar “Eddie” Seckinger; daughter, Carol Denise Pigg.

Those who will cherish her memory are her brother, Dick Ambrose; sister, Gussie Ann Nease; grandchildren, Christopher Charles Pigg, Matthew Allen Pigg, and Amanda Nicole Seckinger Braswell; great-grandchildren, Ruthanna Covington, Seth Pigg, Eddie Ray Braswell, Pamela Braswell, and several nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will take place on Monday afternoon November 9, 2026, at 3 o’clock at Laurel Hill Lutheran Church Cemetery.
