Ruth Marie Frost Boone

-Rincon- Ruth Marie (Frost) Boone, 96, passed away Wednesday August 3, 2016 at her home in Rincon, GA.
Born December 7, 1919, in New Orleans, LA, she was the daughter of Burton Beatty Frost and Emily Rose (Young) Frost Vandermark. She married Robert W. Boone, on July 7, 1938, and he preceded her in death in 1973.
Survivors include four sons, Robert (wife, Linda) Boone of Walhalla, SC; Richard (wife, Leslie) Boone of Gaffney, SC; Raymond (wife, Jody) Boone of Nashville, TN; and Roger (wife, Monica) Boone of Homestead, FL; one daughter, Carole (husband, Richard) Gentzel of Rincon, GA; also 14 grandchildren, 27 great grandchildren, and 4 great-great grandchildren.
Ruth was also preceded in death by her sister, Mary Esther Benson, and half-sister, Jewell Lynn Hammond; and two brothers, George and Robert Frost.
In her earlier years living in Homestead, FL, her and her husband Robert owned several lime and avocado groves, and she also managed to drive a school bus for 13 yrs. After her husband's death, she operated her own small packing house in which her two sons, Raymond and Roger helped her.
Later in life, she and her sister Mary Esther lived and traveled together. Ruth held jobs driving for a pharmaceutical company and a flower shop, then as a secretary of her Baptist Church in Ft. Myers, FL. She was interested in research and documenting the genealogy of her family, and loved to write poems, and read books.
She was loved by all who knew her. The following is what she wants to share with her friends and loved ones: "When I am gone, remember I'm with Jesus. Then do not mourn because I've passed away. Life holds so many griefs and disappointments. And will you cry because I did not stay? Tis only for a spell we must be parted; Not many years on earth to us are given, And when my Savior tells me you are coming, I'll go with him and welcome you to heaven. Grieve not because the eyes that looked upon you, Shall never see your face on earth again. Rejoice, because they look upon the Savior, Who gave His life to ransom sinful men. Weep not because I walk no longer with you. Remember, I am walking streets of gold. Weep for yourselves that you a while must tarry, Before the blessed Lord you may behold.
She will be buried at Vista Memorial Gardens in Hialeah, Fl beside her husband, arrangements made by Riggs Funeral Home in Guyton, GA. .
