Ronald Brodie

Ronald Brodie, 76, of Guyton, Georgia died on Saturday evening September 23, 2026, at Memorial Health University Medical Center.

He was born on March 13, 1950, in Muscle Shoals, Alabama. He was raised by his mother Betty Loveless Helmy and his stepfather Newman Helmy. Ronald loved music and was an incredible musician. He played guitar, slide guitar, sang, and played the piano. Ronald played in many bands. In the 70’s he won the battle of the bands seven years in arow. Ronald enjoyed being outdoors and swimming in the river.

He is preceded in death by his parents Betty Loveless Helmy and his stepfather Newman Helmy; brother, Phillip Brodie; and his sister, Pamela Brodie.

He will be missed by his friends and anyone that has seen him play.
