Richard Dean Timmons, 71, passed away peacefully on Friday, May 15, 2026, at his residence with his family by his side.
He was born on March 31, 1955, in Fairfield, Alabama, Richard led a life full of love, dedication, and adventure.
Richard proudly served his country as a member of the Navy, where he developed a lifelong appreciation for discipline and camaraderie. After his honorable service, he built a reputable career as a C & C Operator at P&O Machine, where his work ethic and precision craftsmanship were admired by colleagues.
A man of simple pleasures, Richard found joy in the revving engines of motorcycles, the tranquil rhythm of fishing, and the aroma of a freshly brewed pot of coffee. He lived by the values of humility and authenticity, always appreciating the small things in life.
Richard was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 40 years, Brenda Timmons, as well as his father, Billy Joe Timmons, mother, Mary Anne and sister, Pat. He now joins them in eternal rest.
He is survived by his daughters, Jessica Timmons, Rebecca Timmons, Misty Smith, and Melanie Peppers (Nick) his sons, James Timmons, Robert Timmons and his brother, Buster. Richard was also a beloved grandfather to several grandchildren who brought immeasurable joy to his days.
Though his presence will be deeply missed, the legacy of Richard Dean Timmons will live on in the hearts of those who loved him and had the privilege to know him.
