Rebecca "Grammy" Carter

Rebecca "Grammy" Carter,46, passed away surrounded by her loving family on Tuesday, June 25, 2024. Born on September 29, 1977, in Columbia South Carolina, Rebecca's life was a testament of kindness and love.

Rebecca was known for her warmth and welcoming nature. She cherished every moment spent with her family, especially her children and grandchildren with whom shared a special bond. 

An avid Georgia Bulldogs fan, Rebecca found joy in simple pleasures like going to the movies, watching TV, and immersing herself in a good book. When her children were young, she enjoyed taking them on trips to Florida to explore the beaches and visit the zoo. Rebecca also took great delight in pampering herself; getting her hair, makeup, and nails done never failed to brighten her day. 

She was preceded in death by her mom, Katherine Hughey; sister, Melissa Landing; and stepmom, Cheryl Carter. 

Rebecca leaves behind two sons, Brantley Emanuel and Stephen Emanuel, Jr.; daughter, Shayla Lariscy; son-in-law, Jacob Lariscy; daughter-in-law, Leeanne Donlon; dad, Ernest Carter, Jr.; grandchildren, Addison Lariscy, Aiden Lariscy, and Maicy Emanuel; sister, Carisa Cross; brother, BJ Brown; and a number of nieces and nephews. 

Visitation will be held on Sunday, June 30, 2024, at Carlson & Riggs Funeral Home from 3-5pm.
