Randall "Randy" Dotson

Randall “Randy” Dotson, 65, passed away at Westwood Nursing Center on Sunday, July 19, 2020.

Randy was known by many as Cool Breeze, The Harmonica Playing Cowboy. He could always be found walking or riding his bicycle all over Springfield. Often times he would just walk into local businesses and start playing his harmonica. Some of the things he enjoyed immensely were banana moon pies followed by a cold Pepsi and listening to the radio. Never meeting a stranger was Randy's greatest attribute. Everybody loved him, thus he had many friends. Because material things were not important to him, his main goal in life was to be a blessing to as many people as possible.

He is preceded in death by his mother, Sara Bell Dotson; aunts, Johnnie Mae Dotson, Ola Spivey, and Jessie Jones; and uncle, Eugene Dotson.

Survivors include: his brother, Johnny Dotson (Rita) of Springfield; caregiver and cousin, Nina Dasher of Eden, and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

A graveside service will be held at 11:00am on Thursday, July 23, 2020 in the Springfield Annex.

All CDC and social distancing guidelines will be observed. The family request all attendees wear mask.
