Patrick Eugene McNamara

Mr. Patrick Eugene McNamara, 85, passed away on Saturday, February 11, 2023, at Memorial Hospital.

Patrick was born in Waukegan, Illinois on January 1, 1938, to George and Polly McNamara and lived in Effingham County for a short time. He was a Vietnam Veteran serving in the United States Navy and worked for many years as a pilot and flight engineer. Patrick loved to spend time outdoors, sailing, fishing, golfing and hunting. Above all, Patrick loved spending time with his loving wife, Veronica. He will forever be remembered as a hardworking and caring husband.

He leaves behind his wife of 10 years, Veronica McNamara; son, Michael McNamara of North Carolina; daughters, Patti Willenburg of North Carolina, Joannie McNamara of Texas, Brenda Key of North Carolina, and Nicki Holloway of Louisiana; sister, Nancy Williams of Oklahoma; and a number of other family members and friends.
