-Guyton- Mrs. Nita Mae Knight,93, passed away on Monday, July 31, 2017, at The Place in Pooler.
Mrs. Knight was born in Quitman, Georgia, on October 9, 1923 to Peter and Nita Ashley. She was a former beautician, then worked for many years as a custodian at Moody Air Force Base. Nita was a member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Albert Knight, Sr.; parents, Peter and Nita Ashley; son, Issac White; and brother, Joseph Ashley, Sr.
Survivors include: her sons, Eddie Ashley (Mae) of Guyton and Albert Knight, Jr. (Jurdean) of Alburn, Alabama; daughter Ernestyne Davis of Valdosta; 10 grandchildren, 36 great grandchildren and 13 great great grandchildren.
Services will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, August 5, 2017, at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses in Springfield, Georgia.
