Myron Orlanda Cofer

Myron Orlanda Cofer passed away peacefully at his home on Monday, May 12, 2025, at the age of 64. Born on February 20, 1961, in Macon, Georgia, Myron spent his early years in the community he cherished before answering the call to serve his country.

Before entering the military, Myron completed his education at Central Georgia Technical College, laying a strong foundation for a life of discipline, service, and purpose. He went on to proudly serve in the United States Army for more than 20 years, rising to the rank of Sergeant First Class. His career took him across the world, including nearly two decades stationed in Germany, where he developed a deep appreciation for international cultures and forged lifelong friendships.

Known for his humility, strength, and unwavering sense of duty, Myron continued to serve others in civilian life as a security guard and a trusted medical supply courier. He was a man of quiet conviction, guided by faith, love of family, and a deep respect for service.

Myron is lovingly remembered by his devoted wife, Christine Cofer; his cherished daughter, Yasmin Curtis, and her husband Dujon; and his two beloved grandchildren, Kira and Niko Curtis, all of DuPont, Washington. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

A funeral service celebrating his life will be held on Saturday, May 17, 2025, at 3:30 p.m. at Carlson & Riggs Funeral Home with military honors. He will be laid to rest at Woodlawn Memorial Park in Macon, Georgia.

His legacy of service, strength, and love endures in the hearts of those he touched.
