Mrs. Janet Michell Jerald, 71, passed away Friday, May 26, 2017, at Memorial Hospital in Savannah, Georgia.
Mrs. Janet was born in Savannah on August 24, 1945 to Buster and Sarah Lois Michell. She lived in Effingham County for a number of years and retired from EM Chemicals where she worked as a lab tech.
She is preceded in death by her husband, James Allen Jerald, Sr.; parents, Buster and Sarah Lois Michell; great grandson, Tucker James Kaye; and sister, Lois "Butchie" English.
Survivors include: her sons, Gene Linton of Savannah, George Linton of Rincon and James Jerald, Jr. of Miami, FL; daughters, Janet Kiser of Springfield and Krissy Jerald of Rincon; brothers, George Collum of Iowa and Oscar Collum of Richmond Hill; sisters, Joyce Cole of Tybee Island and Adelle Mixon of Rincon; 11 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held at Riggs Funeral Home on Sunday, May 28, 2017, from 3 - 5 p.m. Funeral Services will be held at 2 p.m. on Monday, May 29, 2017, in the chapel of the funeral home. Burial will follow in the Springfield Cemetery.
