Mrs. Christine M. Thompson

-Guyton- Mrs. Christine M. Thompson, 75, passed away Saturday, February 7, 2015, at her residence, Mrs. Thompson was born in Savannah, but lived Effingham County for a number of years. She was a homemaker and a faithful member of Savannah Holiness Church of God. She is preceded in death by her husband of 58 years, Elliott Eugene "Gene" Thompson, Sr. Survivors include her children, Eugene Thompson of Guyton, JoAnn & Joe Allan of Guyton, Jimmy & Cheryl Thompson of Faulkville, Debbie & Pete Lewis of Guyton, Randy & Rhonda Thompson of Tennessee, Glenn & Yvette Thompson, Eric & Lacey Thompson of Guyton and Jason Thompson of Springfield; brothers, Lou Dean Coleman of Guyton and Lamar Coleman of Marlow; three sisters, Melba Hutchinson, & Carol Burson of Bloomingdale and Marsha Purifoy of Marlow; 14 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren and a number of nieces & nephews. Visitation will be held at Riggs Funeral Home on Monday, February 9, 2015 from 6 -8 p.m. Funeral Services will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, February 10, 2015 at Savannah Holiness Church of God, with Bro. Ryan Rollings & Bro. Ray Gillis officiating with interment to follow at Marlow Cemetery. Mrs. Thompson will lie in state for 1 hour prior to services.
