Mr. Oliver Wendell Huncke

-Guyton- Mr. Oliver Wendell Huncke,84, passed away Wednesday, February 11, 2015 at Sylview Care Center. Mr. Huncke was an Effingham County native, was a US Army Veteran serving in the Korean Conflict, retired from Seaboard Railroad and was of the baptist faith. Survivors include his three sons, Kenneth Huncke of Guyton, Dennis Huncke of Guyton and Ronald Huncke (Libby) of Ludowici; one daugther, Barbara Huncke of Guyton; one sister, Ruth Bevill of Springfield; 3 grandchildren, 1 step grandchildren and 1 great grandchildren. Visitation will be held from 1 -2 p.m. at Riggs Funeral Home on Friday, February 13, 2015 with funeral services to follow at 2 p.m. in the chapel of the funeral home. Burial will be held in the Marlow Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Spanish Oaks Hospice, 8510 Whitfield Avenue Savannah, Georgia 31406.
