Mr. Joseph Franklin Pound, Jr.

-Rincon- Mr. Joseph Franklin Pound, Jr.,69, passed away Saturday, November 3, 2018, at his residence.

Mr. Joseph Pound was born in Savannah, Georgia on March 25, 1949 to Joseph, Sr. and Margaret Pound and was raised in Effingham County. He was a 1967 graduate of Effingham County High School and spent 4 years in the Air National Guard during the Vietnam Era. Mr. Pound enjoyed spending time on his families farm as well as traveling around the world. He was an avid golfer and outdoors man.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Margaret Pound; and a number of aunts, uncles and cousins.

Survivors include: one aunt and 24 cousins.

Visitation will be held at Riggs Funeral Home on Sunday, November 11, 2018 from 1 – 2PM with funeral services to follow at 2PM in the funeral home chapel.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Mr. Joseph Pound's memory to The Treutlen House, 131 Old August Road Central, Rincon, Georgia 31326.
