Mildred Pauline Greene, 79, passed away peacefully at her home on Friday, November 28, 2025.
She was born on May 27, 1946, in Charlottesville, Virginia.
Mildred dedicated many years of her life to teaching a profession she cherished deeply. Known for her fun-loving spirit, she brought joy to those around her both inside and outside the classroom. She found happiness caring for her garden, cheering on her favorite football teams, and hosting gatherings for the people she loved.
She was preceded in death by her father, Emmit Wright Sr. and her mother, Geneva Lightfoot Wright.
Mildred leaves behind her devoted partner of 30 years, Gerald Jivens; her son, Lance Greene; her brother, Emmit Wright Jr.; and many others who loved her dearly.
Her warm and loving spirit will be profoundly missed and forever cherished.
