Mary Glenda Kennedy McClain

-Springfield- Mrs. Mary Glenda Kennedy McClain,78, passed away on Thursday, August 20, 2020, at Effingham Care Center.

Mrs. Glenda was born in Guyton on November 29, 1941 to the late Robert and Juanita Strouse Kennedy. For many years she was a faithful member of Rincon Baptist Temple Church and later in life at New Providence Baptist Church. She never met a stranger, loved to make people happy, and would do anything to help anyone out. Some of the greatest joy in her life came from spending time with her family and friends.

She is preceded in death by her husband, James Russell McClain; and brother, Robert “Bubba” Kennedy.

Survivors include: her sons, Dwayne Russell McClain (Lisa) of Guyton, Tony McClain (Kristen) of Duncan, SC, Jason McClain of Guyton and James “Eddie” Brundage (Melinda) of Brunswick; daughter, Jaime Dean (Harold) of Springfield; sisters, Bobbie Ann Powell (Sonny) of Guyton, and Patsy Helmey (Jack) of Guyton; grandchildren, Mindi Sue Rahn (Jonathan), K.T. McClain, Miranda McClain, Landon LaBonte, Cohen LaBonte, Waylon LaBonte, Olivia-Paige Dean, Zack Mussen, Jake McClain, Cheyenne Brundage, and Lexie Nicole; and great grandchildren, Jaydon Rahn and Madilyn Rahn.

Graveside services will be held at the Springfield Annex on Sunday, August 23, 2020 at 10am.
