Mary Ann Rivers

Mary Ann Rivers, 71, passed away on Sunday, October 22, 2023, at Ogeechee Area Hospice in Statesboro, Georgia.

Ms. Mary Ann was born in Guyton, Georgia on February 4, 1952, to Curtis E. and Cornelia Rivers. She was very active member of Corinth Baptist Church, always attending every event at the church and having 17 years of perfect attendance. She enjoyed serving as a preschool Sunday school teacher and being a member of the church choir for many years. Ms. Mary was greatly loved and will be deeply missed by her loving family and church family.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Curtis E. and Cornelia Rivers; sister, Lillie Rose Rivers; and brothers, Curtis Elmore Rivers, Jr., and Joseph H. Edwards.

Survivors include her brother, John T. Rivers; her beloved cat, Purty; and a number of nieces, nephews and cousins.

A graveside service will be held at Corinth Baptist Church Cemetery on Tuesday, October 24, 2023, at 11am.
