Margaret Louise Moore, 77, passed away peacefully on Thursday, January 22, 2026, at her home, surrounded by her loving family.
She was born on July 4, 1948, in Sardis, Georgia, to the late Garnett and Mary Perry.
Margaret had a deep love for gardening and took great joy in growing a variety of plants and flowers. She also loved spending time in the kitchen, whether cooking or baking for those she loved. Margaret was also a director of a senior citizen center, where she found fulfillment in serving and connecting with her community. Above all else, she cherished the time she spent with her grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 59 years, Leslie Dean Moore Sr., and her sister, Ann Perry.
She is survived by her son, Leslie Dean Moore Jr. of Seymour, Tennessee; her daughter, Misty (Eric) Ranew of Rincon, Georgia; her brother, Bill Perry (Debra); her sisters, Teresa Burke and Libby Adams (Mark); her grandchildren, Bailey Moore, Alyssa Moore, Carson Ranew, and Emma Ranew; and her great-grandchild, Willow Iris Vance.
Margaret will be missed dearly by all who knew and loved her.
A visitation will be held on Sunday, January 25, 2026, from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. at Carlson and Riggs Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. at Carlson and Riggs Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Union Cemetery in Springfield, Georgia
