Lloyd Johnson Maddox

With profound sadness, we announce the passing of Lloyd Johnson Maddox, a beloved father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and friend. Lloyd was born on Saturday, January 4th, 1941, in Clanton, Alabama, and peacefully departed this life on Saturday, August 22nd, 2026, in Springfield, Georgia, at the age of 85.

Raised with a deep sense of duty and commitment, Lloyd served proudly in the Air Force National Guard and the Army. His military service was a testament to his love for his country, and it shaped the disciplined and principled man he became.

Lloyd dedicated his professional life to the Civil Service installing computer equipment, working diligently for the government. His passion for computers extended beyond his career, as he thoroughly enjoyed building computers by hand. A hobby he poured his heart into and shared with those around him.

He is predeceased by his cherished wife of 56 years, Sudie Anne Maddox, who was the love of his life; his son, Christopher Lee Maddox; his parents, Johnson Mose Maddox and Loyd Delene Maddox; his brothers, Grady "Pete" Malcom Maddox, James Albert Maddox; sister, Annie Louis.

Lloyd leaves behind a legacy of love and warmth, survived by his devoted daughter, Lisa Clark; his grandchildren, Lindsey Ann Clark and Christopher Wesley Clark; five treasured great-grandchildren; brother Linton Naylor Battle His family was the joy of his life, and he cherished every moment spent with them.

Though his presence will be deeply missed, his memory lives on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him. As we gather to celebrate the vibrant life he lived, we remember a man who was steadfast in his love and convictions and who touched many lives with his kind heart.
