-Springfield-Linda Dianne Scheer, 61, passed away Thursday, June 29, 2017, at her residence.
Ms. Linda was born in Savannah, Georgia on September 15, 1955 to Jack and Mae Ella Hampton. She was a loving mother, grandmother and homemaker.
She is preceded in death by: her parents, Jack and Mae Ella Hampton; husband, Larry Scheer; and brother, Wayne Hampton.
Survivors include: her son, Bryan Allmond (Tracy) and his daughter, Allie Allmond of Bloomingdale; daughter, Shannon Allmond and her children, Talor Gradick and S'J Churchill of Effingham County; sisters, Rita Gilmer (John) of Honea Path, South Carolina and Bonnie Landing (Doug) of Bloomingdale; brother, Tony Hampton (Betty) of Tennessee; and a number of nieces, nephews and cousins.
Graveside services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, July 1, 2017, at Hillcrest Abbey West.
