Lillie Rose Rivers

-Guyton- Miss Lillie Rose Rivers, 74, passed away Monday, August 13, 2018, at Candler Hospital.

Miss Lillie was born in Guyton, Georgia on October 11, 1943 to Curtis E. and Cornelia Rivers. She was a member of Elam Egypt Baptist Church where she was an active member in Sunday School, choir and the WMU. Her family, church, cats and sewing brought great joy to her life.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Curtis E. and Cornelia Rivers; and brothers, Curtis Elmore Rivers. Jr. and Joseph H. Edwards.

Survivors include: her brother, John T. “J.T.” Rivers of Statesboro; sister, Mary Ann Rivers of Guyton; and a number of nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Visitation will be held from 6 – 9 PM at Riggs Funeral Home on Wednesday, August 15, 2018. Funeral Services will be held at 5PM on Thursday, August 16, 2018, at Elam Egypt Baptist Church with burial to follow in the Corinth Baptist Church Cemetery.
