Knoxie Ann Crocker, age 90, passed away on January 29, 2026, surrounded by her loving family.
She was born on April 26, 1935, in Belfast, Tennessee, to the late William Esmond and Julia Willis.
Knoxie had a deep love for music, especially songs by Willie Nelson. Knoxie and her best friend Dot Willliams were groupies and would follow his tour bus across the nation. She never missed a chance to cheer on her beloved Atlanta Braves. She enjoyed going cruising and treasured trips back home to Tennessee to visit family. Her Griffin Lake family held a very special place in her heart. Above all else, Knoxie cherished time spent with her grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and her great-great-grandchild.
Knoxie dedicated 34 years of service to Gulfstream, where she made history as one of the first women on the production floor and one of the first female foremen where she was a true trailblazer in her field.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Noah Crocker; her siblings, Glenn Willis, Mary Neil Vaughn, B.E. Willis, and Julia Dean Woodward; and her daughter, Nancy Butler.
She will be lovingly remembered by her daughters, Melinda (Charlie) Cornelius of Rock Hill, Tennessee, Molly (Jeff) Spencer of Brooklet, Georgia, and Jacky Hawkins of Rincon, Georgia; her sister, Margaret Willis of Lewisburg, Tennessee; her grandchildren, Julie (Anthony) Parker of Guyton, Georgia, Adam (Carla) Garland of Rincon, Georgia, Tammy (Jason) Snipes of Guyton, Georgia, Jason Hawkins of Newington, Georgia, Leah Spencer (Nick Bruehl) of Duncan, Oklahoma; her great-grandchildren, Noah (Abbi) Parker of Rincon, Georgia, Brian and Jenny Parker of Guyton, Georgia, Grace and Dalton Garland of Rincon, Georgia, Carson Gay of Guyton, Georgia, Abbie Langston and Landyn Snipes of Guyton, Georgia, Case Bruehl of Duncan, Oklahoma, and Connor Hawkins; and her great-great-grandchild, Addalynn.
Knoxie’s legacy of strength, love, and devotion to family will be cherished by all who knew her.
A visitation will be held on Thursday, February 5, 2026, from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm at Carlson and Riggs Funeral Home Chapel. A memorial service will follow at 12:00 pm at Carlson and Riggs Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow at Effingham Memorial Gardens in Springfield, Georgia.
