Kimberly Dawn Spence

October 20, 1966 — September 30, 2025

Bloomingdale

It is with the most profound sorrow that we announce the passing of our wife, mother and friend, Kimberly D. Spence, 58, of Bloomingdale, Georgia. She passed away on September 30, 2025, at her home, due to natural causes.

Kim was born on October 20, 1966, to Palmer and Shirley Hall. She was married on March 4, 1995, to the love of her life, James “Jimbo” Spence. They celebrated 30 years of a wonderful marriage this year. She and Jimbo shared a once in a lifetime type of endless love, the type we all can only hope to be blessed to find in our lives. She was beyond proud to be his wife and he took the best care of her.

She also leaves behind a daughter, Amanda (David) Kessler, whose world will never be the same and will miss her mother every day, until they meet again. She was honored to have, and took very seriously, the privilege of being a stepmother to three stepsons, James “Matt” Spence, Jr. (Nancy), William “Mitchell” Spence (Lindsey) and Justin Spence. Her biggest pride and joys, her 12 grandchildren, include Jaden Kessler, Scarlett Kessler, Taylor Spence, Weston Spence, Jordyn Young, Mayson Young, Ellie Spence, Ana Griswold, Molly Griswold, Noella Griswold, Scout Spence and Kailyn Spence.

Her siblings included Kitty (Scott) France, Kristina (Rockey) McSpadden, Sonja (Sammy) Turner, William “Bill” (Carol) Shepherd, Donna (Kevin) Swanson, Barbara (Barry) O’Neal, Mike Spence, Charles “Chuck” Mock and Sue Murray. She also held dear to her many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Palmer and Shirley Hall, her sister, Sonja Turner, her brother, William “Bill” Shepherd, and brother-in-law, Sammy Turner.

Kim found the greatest joys in being with her husband, and the rest of her family. She will be remembered for her generous spirit, her quick wit and the deep love she had for her family and friends. Her laughter, wisdom and strength will be profoundly missed and never forgotten.

A Celebration of Life will be planned by the family at a date to be determined. In lieu of flowers, the family would like to ask that you take a moment and hug your family tightly, and not to take a moment for granted. Remove the distractions, put your phones down and be present. At the end of your lives, memories will be all you’re left with. Make the most of the little time we have here. Kim would love for that to be done in her honor.
