Kathryn Helen Wolanin, age 93, passed away on Friday, January 14, 2022, at home with her loving family by her side.
Born and raised in Manville, NJ. She spent most of her life as a resident of Sayreville, NJ before moving to Guyton, GA five years ago. Before her retirement Kathryn was employed as a laboratory technician for Bristol Myers Squibb of New Brunswick, NJ. She was communicant of the Church of Saint Mary of Ostrobrama in South River, NJ.
Kathryn was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, friend and so much more. She will be missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing her. She loved crocheting and going to craft shows. She was a big fan of polka dancing, traveling and NASCAR racing.
Kathryn was preceded in death by her husband, Edward J. Wolanin Sr. in 1986; her parents, Frank and Anna Ridosh; and her sisters, Mary Barnish, Ann Dorsa and Helen “Dolly” Ridosh.
She is survived by her children, Edward J. Wolanin, Jr of Manahawkin, NJ and Kathleen Ann Lisius of Guyton, GA; her grandchildren, Rachael Ann Lisius of Kissimmee, FL and Steven Edward Lisius of Liberty County, GA; sister, Fran Fierst; brothers, Frank Ridosh and Joseph Ridosh; and many loving cousins, nieces’ nephews and friends.
At a later date, the family will receive friends for a memorial service and interment at St. Mary’s Cemetery (New Jersey).
