Johnnie "Berry" Edwards

-Clyo- Mr. Johnnie "Berry" Edwards, 92, passed away Monday, January 16, 2017, at his residence.
Mr. Berry was born in Clyo, Georgia on October 21, 1924 to the late John Jasper and Annie Marie Edwards. He lived in Clyo his entire life, worked for Georgia Pacific as a Press Machine Operator, worked for the State Highway Department and was a member of Silver Hill United Methodist Church.
Mr. Berry is preceded in death by his parents; son, Matthew Edwards and two brothers, Joseph and Valdee Edwards.
Survivors include his wife of 64 years, Mary Jane Edwards; son, Mitchell Edwards of Clyo; two daughters, Polly Edwards of Guyton and Ethel Edwards of Clyo; 5 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held at Riggs Funeral Home on Saturday, January 21, 2017, from 6 - 8 p.m. Funeral Services will be held at Silver Hill United Methodist Church on Sunday, January 22, 2017 at 2 p.m. with burial to follow in the church cemetery.
