John Joseph York

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of John Joseph York, a beloved husband, father, brother, and friend, who left this world on September 21st, 2026, at the age of 67.

John was born on October 31, 1958, in Cleveland, Ohio to his parents Robert and Florence York.

A man of diverse interests, John's greatest love was music. His soul was deeply connected to the melodies of classic rock, with Pink Floyd being a particular favorite. His extensive collection of records was a testament to his passion and his joy in sharing music with those he loved.

John's spirit of adventure and appreciation for nature were unmatched; he found peace in the great outdoors, welcoming the tranquility it offered. His life was a harmonious blend of his interests, and he will be remembered for his unfailing generosity, warmth, and the indelible mark he left on those who knew him.

John was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Florence York.

John is survived by his devoted wife; Sherry York, his son; Jeffrey Bell, daughter; Stacy Bell, his granddaughters; Aimee Silvoy and Ava Silvoy, his sisters; Lisa Harris and Jane Hanak, and numerous nephews and one cherished niece, each of whom held a special place in his heart.

John will be deeply missed but forever remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing him. May his journey ahead be filled with enduring peace and music that never fades.
