John Willie Wilson, Jr.

John Willie Wilson, Jr., 68, passed away surrounded by his loving family on Monday, July 17, 2023.

John was born in Savannah, Georgia on December 27, 1954, to John and Carolyn Wilson. He attended Effingham County High School, was a crane operator for many years, and a member of the Guyton Masonic Lodge.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Carrol Johnson Wilson; father, John W. Wilson, Sr.; and grandson, Tyler Wilson.

Survivors include: his children John Wilson III and Danielle L. Wells (Bo); Stepson, Ryan Oglesby; grandchildren, Hailey Wilson, Kaleb B. Wells, Aaliyah D. Wells, and Dalton Mussen; mother, Carolyn Kelehear; sisters, Diane Wilson and Cheryl Wilson Webb and several aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews.

A visitation for family and friends will be held on Friday, July 21, 2023, from 5pm - 7pm at Carlson & Riggs Funeral Home.
