Jo-Ann H. Butler

-Clyo- Mrs. Jo-Ann H. Butler,66, passed away Sunday, September 15, 2019, at her home under the care of Compassionate Care Hospice.

Mrs. Jo-Ann was born on August 14, 1953 in Allendale, South Carolina, to Henry L. Hall, Jr. and Catherine H. Hall. She attended Effingham County High School, was a homemaker, and caregiver for her parents for many years before their passing. Mrs. Jo-Ann also enjoyed caring for many children in her home.

Survivors include: her loving husband, Arthur L. Butler Sr.; daughter, Cathy Jones(Michael) of Clyo; sons, Arthur L. Butler, Jr.(Shasta) of Springfield and Charles Hall(Desiree) of Clyo; grandchildren, Brett Butler, Austin Butler, Susan Smith(David), LeeAnn Williford and Dakota Jones; great grandchildren, Madelyn and Maverick Smith; sister, Peggy Rahn(Billy) of Rincon; brother, Henry “Bubba” L. Hall III(Cathy) of Eden; and a number of nieces and nephews.

A visitation for family and friends will be held on Tuesday, September 17, 2019, at Riggs Funeral Home from 6 – 8PM. Graveside services will be held at 1PM on Wednesday, September 18, 2019 at Swallow Savannah Cemetery in Allendale, SC.

The family would like to express a heartfelt thank you to her nurses, Rachel and Amy, and her aide, Nicole for their compassionate care.
