“Corky” Jeffrey Lee Jenkins, 69, of Rincon, GA, came to the end of his long journey created by squamous cell bone cancer Sept 10, 2026, and is in peace in the comfort of the Angels.
Remaining behind to speak his name are his friend of nearly 60 years, his wife of 37 years Beth (Jahnke), amazing daughter and son in law Anitre and James Tuman, adored grandchildren Harley Payne and Presley Tuman, sisters Jaye Lynne Tayloe and Julie (Matt) Dibert, brothers Joe (Tracey) Jenkins & Bob (Amy) McQuirt, Uncle Steve (Janet) Edwards, Aunts Kathy Ann (Harrison) Pennell, Ina Edwards, Judy Hildebrand, and Barb Edwards, many nieces, great nieces, nephews, great nephews, cousins, and dear friends Scott (Debbie) Combs and Keith Miller.
Preceding him were his parents Bonnie (Marvin) McQuirt and James (Donna) Jenkins, sister Lisa Jenkins, and dear niece Shannon Tayloe, numerous Aunts, Uncles, and Cousins.
He wore many hats in his lifetime, carpet & flooring installer, CDL driver, amazing drummer, magician and juggler, master framer, proud member of the Harley Owners Group for decades and retired from Bowen Refrigeration. His favorite hat was “Papaw.”
The family is grateful for all the prayers and gift of privacy he so wanted to endure this road with dignity. Bless the wingless angels of Compassus Hospice, their many acts of kindness will never be forgotten, his dear Nurse and Aides that made him smile.
Per his adamant wishes, there will be no funeral service, promises kept. Soar peacefully- love is a verb.
His body was entrusted to Carlson and Riggs Funeral Home, Guyton, GA.
