Janie E. Lively

-Bloomingdale- Mrs. Janie E. Lively, 75, passed away Friday, October 19, 2018 at her residence.

Mrs. Janie was born in Metter, Georgia on March 8, 1943 to O'Dell and Mildred Scruggs. She enjoyed keeping children, beautiful flowers and attending Pineora Baptist Church.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Coley Lively; parents, O'Dell and Mildred Scruggs; son, Tony Lively; brother, Larry Townsend; and sister, Jody Elders.

Survivors include: her son, Joey Lively (Shelly) of Guyton; daughter, Misty Edwards (Mike) of Guyton; brother, O'Dell Scruggs, Jr. (Andrea) of Atlanta; sisters, Patsy Gracen (Ronny) of Pooler, Debra Sellers (Bobby) of Brunswick, and Jenny Overby (Sam) of Virginia; grandchildren, Savannah Lively Hart (Matt) of Bloomingdale, Matthew, Alex, and Nicholas Lively of Guyton, Karleigh, Lacy, Mackena, and Cole Edwards of Guyton; great grandchildren, Bristol, Mattie, Brandon, Blake, and Victoria Hart of Bloomingdale; step-mother, Nita Scruggs of Metter; sister-in-law, Jeanette Holloway of Pooler; and a number of nieces, nephews and cousins.

Visitation will be held at Riggs Funeral Home on Sunday, October 21, 2018, from 1 – 2PM with services to follow at 2PM in the chapel of the funeral home. Burial will be held at the Cedar Creek Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery, 1199 Cedar Creek Church Road, Collins, Georgia 30421 at 4PM.
