Janice Ann Thompson

Janice Ann Bard Thompson, 81, of Guyton, Georgia, and the wife of R. C. Thompson, Jr., passed away peacefully at her residence on March 21, 2026, surrounded by her loving family.

She was born on July 7, 1944, in Webb City, Missouri to the late Jack Bard and the late Billie Daniels Bard. Janice spent her life devoted to her family and the simple joys that brought her happiness. She was married to her husband, R. C. Thompson, Jr., with whom she shared 24 years of companionship and memories with.

Janice found joy in gardening, traveling, and music, and she especially loved sitting around a campfire with her family and friends. She appreciated the beauty of nature and the comfort of being outdoors.

Janice was preceded in death by her parents Jack Bard and Billie Daniels, her brothers, Bob Bard, Gary Bard, Charles Bard, and John Bard.

She is survived by her husband, R. C. Thompson Jr., daughter Kimber Lea Erdmann; her stepdaughter Micki Thompson; her son and daughter-in-law Christopher and Karen Erdmann; her stepson and daughter-in-law Douglas and Brandy Thompson; her sisters Lynnette Gibson and Donna Asher and her husband Robert Asher. Janice is also survived by eight grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews to carry on her memory.
