-Guyton- Mr. James (Jimmy) Wilburn Hunter, Jr. went to be with the Lord on Thursday, March 24, 2015, at East Georgia Medical Center.
Jimmy was born in Savannah, Georgia, on January 25, 1962. He was baptized at Rincon Temple Baptist Church.Jimmy worked for Atlanta Motor Lines in Savannah, Georgia; and in his last years he was a driver on the road, in which he was very proud.
Jimmy is preceded in death by: his father, James Wilburn Hunter, Sr. (Skippy) who passed away on October 3, 1966; both maternal grandparents, Robert and Jaunita Kennedy; paternal grandfather, Ewing Thomas Hunter; and two nieces, Janice Gail Hunter and Jean Woods.
Survivors include: his parents, Bobbie Kennedy Hunter Powell and step-father, Garon H. Powell, Sr.; son, James Christopher Hunter; granddaughter, Anna Marie; 97-year old grandmother, Helen Louise Hunter; and numerous other family members and friends.
Jimmy's wish was to be cremated, with no services. As per his request, his ashes will be taken to his final resting place.
