James "Jimmy" Cribbs

Newington- James “Jimmy” Clyde Cribbs, 85, passed away Monday, August 16, 2021, at his residence surrounded by his family.

After retiring as a carpenter, Jimmy lived with the love of his life Harriet Evans Cribbs in Newington Ga where you could almost always find him working in his yard. He loved to fish, and he enjoyed eating fish that his neighbors would often bring him. He loved spending time with his family. Seeing his grandchildren and great grandchildren would always light up his day.

James was preceded in death by his loving wife of 50 years, Harriet Ann Evans Cribbs; and parents, Henry Odell and Merle Jenkins Cribbs.

He is survived by his daughter, Valerie Dugger(Kenny); his son, O’dell Cribbs; grandchildren, Johnny Dugger, Cody Dugger (Katherine), Jennie Corse (Cedric); great grandchildren, Jeremiah Sheffield, Jace Sheffield, Brantley Dugger, Allison Dugger, and Charlie Dugger; brother, Billy Cribbs; and several nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be held at 2pm on Friday, August 20, 2021, at Newington City Cemetery.
