James Coleman, 39, passed away Monday, February 13, 2023, at Memorial Hospital in Savannah, Georgia.
James was born on April 10, 1983 in Savannah and lived in Statesboro for a number of years. He spent his spare time on the river fishing, camping on sandbars, playing card games, or cracking a cold busch light with some friends. He loved entertaining people, whether it was a small gathering at the house or an outing at the river. James was a former union worker for Airco, which he enjoyed providing for his family.
James is survived by his mother and father, Teresa and Greg; children, Aliyah, Brianna, and Louis; grandmother, Joanne; sisters, Brittany, Chelsey, Chantel, Brook, Ashley, Miranda, Nancee, and April; aunts, Kelley, Angela, and Kimberly; and cousins, Katlyn, Brandon, and Eric.
Aside from his love of hobbies, James was a loving and devoted father. Providing and nurturing his children was his number one priority in life. His children were his biggest accomplishment in life and his grand prize. Regardless of his situation in life, he would make sure his children were taken care of. James always had a lending hand when someone needed any help regardless the task. He had the biggest heart and was known to be the family’s “peace maker”.
