-Springfield- Mrs. Jacquelin “Jackie” Wages,90, passed away Saturday, March 19, 2022, at Lakeview Manor Retirement Home.
Mrs. Jackie was born in Halcyondale, Georgia on February 26, 1932, to Brooker and Anna Kemp. She was a graduate of Commerical High School in Savannah and retired from Union Camp after 26 years of service. After retirement, alongside her husband, they opened Riggs Funeral Home in Guyton.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Raymond Benjamin “RB” Wages Sr.; son, Raymond Benjamin “Ben” Wages; and parents, Brooker and Anna Kemp.
Survivors include: her children, Kim Riggs of Springfield and Dena Wages of Guyton; grandchildren, Shannon Cribbs (Dustin), Ben Riggs, Heather Riggs, Holden Young (Hailey), Noah Young (Mahalley), Briana Riggs, and Jocelyn Tebeau; great grandchildren, Randy Cribbs, Luke Cribbs, Koden Cribbs, Dusti Cribbs, and Jensen Young; brother-in-law, Dr. Harvey Wages (Doris);special friends, Ben Johnson; and a number of extended family members and many friends at Lakeview Manor.
The family would like to extend a big thank you to Kristy Shuman, the staff of Lakeview Manor, and Homestead Hospice for their loving care.
Visitation will be held from 2 – 4pm on Sunday, March 20, 2022, at Carlson and Riggs Funeral Home. The family will hold a private graveside service in the Rincon Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family request donations be made in Mrs. Jackie’s memory to Lakeview Manor Retirement Home, 728 Highway 119 South, Springfield, Georgia 31329.
