Ivan Serge Anzur

Ivan Serge Anzur, 85, passed away on Saturday, February 7, 2026, at the Georgia War Veterans Nursing Home.

Ivan was born on September 1, 1940, in Gorizia, Italy. He was a war orphan and was adopted at the age of 12 by Tony and Caroline Anzur.

Ivan loved anything that brought him outdoors. He found joy in farming, fishing, boating, gardening, and caring for his animals. He especially cherished his horse, Geronimo. In his quieter moments, Ivan enjoyed tinkering and working with his hands. He proudly served his country in the United States Navy.

He will be lovingly remembered by his daughters, Lea Gilliam and Ashley Ingram (William), and his grandson, Lucas Gilliam.

A visitation will be held on Friday, February 13, from 4:00 to 5:00 p.m. at Carlson and Riggs Funeral Home. A celebration of life with full military honors will follow at 5:00 p.m. at Carlson and Riggs Funeral Home.
